What we record when you visit
To understand which stories readers find useful, Aviox Blogs records:
- the pages you open, how long they stay open in front of you, how far you scroll, and the links you click;
- your IP address and the approximate location it points to (city, region and country);
- your device type, browser and operating system;
- a random visitor id kept in a cookie, so that reloading a page counts as one visit, not many.
If you subscribe to the Dispatch, your visits are linked to your subscription, so we can see which stories subscribers read. Without a subscription, visits are recorded without a name or email address.
Cookies
- aviox_vid: a random visitor id (one year).
- aviox_sub: set only when you subscribe; it opens subscriber stories for you (one year).
Your browser also remembers that you dismissed the privacy notice.
Who can see it, and for how long
Only Aviox Blogs administrators can see individual visits. We do not sell or share this information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles. Detailed visit records, including IP addresses and locations, are deleted automatically after 90 days. We keep only anonymous totals, such as how many people read each story.

Location data
Approximate locations come from a database kept on our own server; your address is not sent to anyone else. IP data by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
